Atticus Backing onto a Pedestal, 1-14-13

In today’s video on backing onto the pedestal, we also have trailer loading and backing toward the trailer and my walking around Atticus to help with his duration on the pedestal. During two sessions, he backed onto the mat both facing the trailer and facing away from the trailer and standing his front feet on the pedestal when I asked. While he was on the trailer, I played with the butt bar, hooked up the butt bar, and closed the back doors. He didn’t seem to mind any of that at all. He began the first session by self loading into the waiting trailer. 🙂

About Laurie Higgins

I play with clicker training - with my horses, dogs, and cats. I also attempt to grow vegetables with the hope of one day being able to feed my family from my garden. My daughter and I are learning ballroom dancing. Well, we were. But she left me for a paying horse job, so now my husband and I are learning ballroom dancing. I'm also now helping Peggy Hogan, of Clicker Training Horses (and The Best Whisper is a Click) to teach people how to train their own horses using "clicker training".
